What makes you stand out as a future collegiate athlete?
Make quick/smart decisions. Accurate with the ball and have a fast release. I'll lead my team under any circumstances.
Bass had a promising sophomore year as one of the state’s leaders in passing but was sideline with an injury halfway through the year. He bounced back as a junior tossing the ball for 2,244 yards, 26 touchdowns, 66% completion and even 341 yards rushing with 4 scores included (despite splitting snaps with a player walking onto GT). Pretty good bounce back year to say the least, and we are expecting an even bigger season this fall. The 2018 gunslinger is a surgeon out there on the field, and reads the defenses with consistent excellence. He has a powerful arm and can zip the ball down field on a line. The biggest improvement he has made from soph to junior year is how well he moves in the pocket now. Bass is very agile and gets by defenders with a quick athletic burst while also keeping his eyes down field. He has an unconventional throwing motion, but was effective against the absolute best defenses in the state regardless. Bass is a student of the game, and there is no doubt he will be successful in college. He showed flashes as a runner last year and we want to see him continue improve on that aspect of his game.
