Valdosta’s young junior QB earned his first P5 offer today by way of Kansas. The 6’4″ 205 lbs. signal-caller who guided Valdosta to a 7-5 season while leading the team in passing with 1091 yards, 13 touchdowns on just 133 attempts with just 5 interceptions on the season as well.
Jones originally transferred over to Valdosta from Caver-Atlanta where he was the starter year prior. The 2022 recruit was initially the backup behind 5 star California transfer Jacob Garcia, who ended ineligible for the Wildcats, and thusly, Jones was anointed the starter.
“It feels great to get an offer. It it a real dream come true,” Jones said on landing his first FBS offer.
Jones also ran the football for about 250 yards and shows additional upside as a runner down the road as he gets more confident running upfield utilizing his big frame to run over and around defenders.
His initial offer from Kansas is his first of any kind, but with the raw tools and arm strength that should only continue to attract colleges from across the country, so keep an eye out on the 2022 during this offseason.
