Almost no junior film after getting 50 tackles and 11 tackles for loss his sophomore film definitely leaves wondering what happened his junior year. Lamar looked like a solid defensive tackle prospect with tensity and aggression to get in the backfield and dominate. As a naturally bigger guy, he was able to wedge his way through the offensive line, but also can get on his heels and get knocked back too. Lower base def needs some work strength wise. Lamar makes a lot of arm tackles too, and sometimes struggles to get the ball carrier down. He’ got some good upside, if his vertical is legit, then that should really attract D1 programs. He needs to work on getting strong so that his quickness at the point of attack can fully be recognized, but coming out his stance, Lamar is definitely one of the quicker guys in this class.
