Stavely was part of the rushing attack that dominated teams in 2-A, and the wide framed OG gets up field pretty quickly showing good urgency. He relishes contact, keeps his feet moving thru the defender. Needs to get a bit lower with his blocking, work on foot quickness too. Stavely looks to dominate his opponent, but would like to see him improve getting leverage too. Needs to work on hand placement and getting better leverage – he gets a lot of pancakes with awesome upper body strength alone. Stavely had very good production blocking in HS. He needs to work on his hip flexibility and just getting underneath the pads of the defender better, but from a frame and pure strength stand point he should get some D1 & D2 looks.
