Leonard was a tackling machine this year with over 140 on the season. He has great instincts at reading the play putting himself in the right place. Reads the QB’s eyes really well. Very smart player. Gets after the ball carrier, tackles really low. Keeps pads parallel to the line of scrimmage. Good HS football player. Just lacks size to play too high, but will get the job done at the right level while being a leader on and off the field.
