What makes you stand out as a future collegiate athlete?
I've lived and breathed football as long as I can remember. I'm driven, and when I set a goal, I meet it and set another. My coaches see me as a leader, and I listen to coaches and take their corrections to improve my game. I have great accuracy in my long snap, and I know how to read the line. I started as Center my sophomore year and am a leader captain this spring. I will do what it takes, on and off the field to play football at the next level.
Of note, Hinson is one of the better long snappers in Georgia, but I’ll leave Kohl’s kicking talk about that – they rank him 30 nationally and 4th in GA. Watching his film as a center, and we were pretty impressed with the senior. He’s ultra aggressive and does a nice job controlling the gaps, picking up blitzers through the A gap. He’s got a strong base, and moves very quickly out his stance. He blocks too high at times, certainly an aspect to his game you can correct. Hinson is a glue type of player and helps facilitate a lot of roles. He played in the Rising Seniors game, found some footage of him going against Darnell Jefferies head to head and doing a pretty good job – granted they both were engaged too high. Hinson can enroll early, and his versatility to play both long snapper and center should intrigue a lot of schools.
