Ferris has good footwork, and does a great job of stepping into his throw and firing off a pass. Would not consider his throwing motion to be prototypical, but the 2018 QB has a live arm, and a good understanding of when to air the pass out or fire it. He’s also a deceptive runner, with good speed, which allows him to get out of the pocket and create. Really like the 2018 recruits timing on his passes too – he’s a quick decision maker with a gun-slinger mindset. Expect him to be a bigger part of the run offense next season too. Ferris a good all-around athlete and we really believe that FCS programs and Ivy League colleges should give him serious looks.
