Williams also totaled right at 500 yards on the ground this season.

Dante Black led his Brookwood team in rushing with 1927 yards and a total of 36 touchdowns. The senior is an absolute workhorse for his squad and had his best rushing performance of the season against Colquitt, totaling over 250 yards of offense and breaking ankles and hurdling over defenders. Chauncey Williams meant everything to his Meadowcreek squad and had a state-leading 211.6 yards rushing per game. The senior averaged 8.4 yards per carry against a very tough schedule and led his team to its second-ever playoff bid in 32 years as a program. His 30 rushing touchdowns led all of Class 7-A. Tyler Goodson was on fire at the end of this season and ran for 802 yards and 10 touchdowns in the 7-A playoffs. Even missing a few games in the middle of the year, the 2019 running back was right at 2000 all-purpose yards. Goodson will be on a lot of colleges’ recruiting boards.

Ramel Keyton from Marietta finished 4th in Class 7-A with 16 touchdowns while also hauling in 1294 receiving yards. The playmaking receiver is one of the most talented in the entire state of Georgia. Mountain View’s Malachi Carter has elite hands and can go up and grab almost any pass. The 2018 Georgia Tech signee finished the year with 1348 yards, and his 19 touchdowns were 3rd in the classification. Rashod Bateman was nothing short of dominant in 2017. The Tift County receiver led everyone in the classification with 1539 yards and 83 receptions. His 21 touchdowns were tied for the lead. Noah Frith shared that touchdown lead, in fact. The Woodstock senior had 1412 yards and 80 receptions on the year. He is a speed demon, and his longest was from 95 yards out. Dominick Blaylock fits more of an all-purpose role in our All-State selections. The Walton phenom was voted Region Player of the Year and ended up with over 1000 yards of total offense and 17 touchdowns.

Jakai Clark is a young Grayson lineman who really impressed us on film. He is great in gap control, reading blitzes and picking them. Casey Holman paved the way for one of the leading rushing attacks in 7-A. The senior is a mauler and will be taking his talents to Duke. John Harris has been Mr. Consistent at Mill Creek the last few years. He shows great leg drive and determination to land as many pancakes as possible. Jalen Goss is a long freakish athlete who played in Lowndes’ powerful spread-offense attack. Goss has unbelievable upside at the next level. Warren Ericson has been the linchpin for North Gwinnett in 2017. The UGA signee opened up massive holes for his trio of running backs. Blake Watson finished up his high school career playing a dominating brand of football. The powerful lineman is also a tremendous student-athlete and is hearing from top academic schools.

Ryan Fitzgerald was just announced as USA Today’s top kicker in the country. The 2019 kicker hit 18 field goals on the year with the longest from 60 yards out on a free kick in the team’s playoff win over Archer. Brookwood’s Matthew Hill was an offensive dynamo this year with 2185 all-purpose yards. He did it every way possible with 879 yards receiving, 695 yards rushing, 349 yards on punt returns and 262 on kickoff returns. The tremendously talented athlete will be deciding between Auburn and Clemson.

Darnell Jeffries is fresh off his Region Defensive Player of the Year award. The 2018 Clemson defensive lineman signee is quick as a cat out there and has great instincts at reading the play. Will Choloh had an unbelievable year with 68 tackles, 8 sacks and 49 tackles for loss, which led 7-A from our count. The senior was just recently awarded Gwinnett County Lineman of the Year. Latrell Bankston had 117 tackles on the year which led all defensive tackles in 7-A. He also had 28 tackles for loss and 16 sacks on the year as well. Bankston is a Kennesaw State commit. Jaylen Parks from North Paulding totaled 81 tackles on the year, 17 sacks and 32 tackles for loss. The senior has a crazy-high motor and uses his speed to make impact tackles in the backfield.

Tift County senior Andrew Johnson was voted Region Defensive Player of the Year and rightfully so. The attacking linebacker had 125 tackles (75 solo), 2 forced fumbles and 7 sacks. Dante Fleming had 155 total tackles and a Class 7-A-leading 114 solo tackles. The speedy senior had 16 tackles for loss on the year. The Rutgers commit had 86 tackles, 12.5 sacks and 25.5 tackles for loss this season. He was a turnover machine with 3 forced fumbles and 4 interceptions.

North Gwinnett’s Warren Burrell is a ballhawking cornerback who snagged 5 interceptions on the year. He was voted to the All-Gwinnett County team recently. Taiyon Palmer picked off 4 passes this year for Archer while also being an important player on the offensive side of the ball. Palmer is one of the top cornerbacks in Georgia. Myles Sims out of Westlake is one of the top cover players in the state of Georgia. He is dominant in man coverage and will be taking his talents to Michigan. Derrik Allen finished off his senior year with 54 solo tackles, 3 interceptions and 7 PBUs even after missing a few games. He also had 488 total return yards on special teams. The senior will play for Notre Dame next fall. DJ Turner is one of the best safety prospects we have seen recently. The North Gwinnett safety always finds himself in the right place and gets his hands on the ball. He ended with over 75 tackles this season. Rashard Revels made the most of his first year starting varsity and led all of Class 7-A with a total of 185 tackles. He had 22 tackles for loss and 96 solo from his strong safety spot.

Jake Camarda had the strongest season of any punter in Georgia averaging 46.2 yards. He had a long of 65 yards and knocked 13 punts inside the 20. The Norcross standout is headed to UGA. Javonni Cunningham had 585 total return yards and two long scores. He is a lightning-quick slot receiver who is a coveted playmaker with the ball in his hands.

    1. Went with another WR since Blaylock had a versatile year. There was about 4-5 TE’s who were all in consideration including yourself Andy. I’m going to be doing honorable mentions after the player of the year voting is done on Sunday night.

  1. Recruit Georgia you seem to have gotten this right. All these players have incredible stats that say their worthy of being on this list, thank you for not just putting players on it because of their size or because of their offers!

How can Trey Pinkney not be on this list with 21.5 sacks.

    1. Admittedly thought he had 17 sacks. I know he had a great year and won Region Defensive POTY.

  5. All things are possible through Christ who strengthens you ??????????????

  6. Wow! No J.J. Peterson ( Colquitt Co. Packers) ??

Rashad Bateman from Tift County was the most dominant and dangerous pass receiver I witnessed in the entire state. All opponents that prepared for him utilized zone and double coverage, yet Bateman still displayed his talent for catching touchdowns against the best the state had to offer.

I cannot for Rashod Bateman. It keeps saying bad request…

  11. This Poll is not letting individuals vote for Rashod Bateman. It keeps telling them bad request. Not fair at all.

  12. This Poll is cheating. Not letting us vote for Rashod Bateman.

Several people have tried to vote for Rashod Bateman and it keeps saying “bad request,” and the percentage isn’t changing. Is there a problem with the system? I’ve had at least 4 people say that it didn’t go thru.

I’m trying to vote for Rashad Bateman of Tift. Co but the system won’t allow me. By far the best wide receiver. He deserves to win and absolutely has my vote!!!!

    Let’s go Jayden!!!

  18. Rashod Bateman is the best! Not only is he extremely
talented athleticly, he is an elite young man of character!

  19. Rashod Bateman seems to be a great receiver by looking at his stats but to say he’s the most dominant by far is insane. Look at the stats, Noah Frith was virtually tied with him in every category but did it in one less game. Not only that he did sharing the ball with another great receiver Lewis Hall who’s usually on this list and is a 2 time All State WR himself but got hurt Mid season but was a top 10 receiver at the time. Frith went up against some of the best defensive the state has to offer as well.

  20. Bateman and Frith were only tied in Touchdowns.

    1. Mike apparently you didn’t read my post! I said virtually tied. He had 127 more yrds then Frith, he avg. less than 1yrd a game then Frith and only had 3 more receptions then Frith while playing 1 extra game then Frith who was avg well over a 150 yrds a game in his last 5 games!
